Letting it happen.
19Jun08
Most of the time during a shoot, I just let it happen. Just let the dog be the dog. This is a technique that calls for patience and quickness at the same time. There’s lots of waiting around, holding the camera ready, and quickly firing off the shutter to get the moment.
Here are some of my favorite “let it happen” shots.
Just look at the madness in her eyes trying to steady that tennis ball.
Kyla’s famous “rub my belly” stance, hard to capture but got lucky.
This was a sweet little “nano-moment” of love between an owner and his dogs.
And little Abby rolling around in the grass like the little blonde tornado that she is.
